Description
Tetramethylsilane-d₁₂ (TMS-d₁₂, 98% D) is a heavily deuterated analog of standard tetramethylsilane. In Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) manufacturing, it is primarily used as an advanced analytical reference standard and locking/calibration agent in specialized Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) spectroscopy 2H or advanced 1H and ¹³C qNMR) where standard protonated TMS signals would interfere with or obscure critical low-level peak analysis of drug candidates.
